All new checks are submitted using the New Check Button

Checks like Qualifications Check, Credit Check, Afiswitch Criminal Check, Drivers Verification, PDP Drivers Check, FAIS Comprehensive Check will need additional information.

This information will include documents like certificates or biometrics like fingerprints.

You can capture these items using the Add New function button when processing the different checks.

In cases where biometric data is needed, if not already captured, Digital ID will then start the capture process.

Afiswitch partnered with SAPS (South African Police Service) to provide a service

Within this section we are going to look at the capture and submission process for Afiswitch Criminal Checks.

Fingerprint scanner needs to be plugged in before capture can begin.

Accepted devices are Sagem MSO 300 and Suprema Mini-bio 3.

Both devices have Driver requirements, please follow the Driver Installation Guide for the device you have.

• Login only accepts the 2 Index fingers.
• Current User sign-on “Ensure it is your ID Number”.

Afiswitch Criminal fingerprint capture process requires a full capture of all 10 fingerprints unless damaged or missing.

Submission will require an existing package already be captured.

Here we are going to look at the options for submission of the criminal package to Afiswitch for Processing.

Select the package you want to submit and then press 'New Submission' (Standard) OR 'Submit Enrollment via Fast Track' (Premium Service).

Two Types of Submission Options

Standard Submission - NO Additional Costs involved

• Basic submission where results are returned within 24-48 hours from submission.

Fast Track Submission - Additional Costs involved

This submission type will have results returned within 6-8 hours of submission provided the times do not exceed current working hours 8AM to 5PM

• What this means is if a criminal check is submitted at 9AM then results should be available by 3PM-5PM

PremiumTrack Submission - Additional Costs involved

This submission type will have results returned within 0-90 Mins of submission provided the times do not exceed current working hours 8AM to 5PM

What this means is if a criminal check is submitted at 9AM then results should be available by 10AM
